And worst still. i lost it in a BMW showroom??? I guess i lost it while trying on a convertible... what the heck... the showroom was not crowded. and assuming that i dropped my handphone, those rich folks are not at least considerate to return me my handphone. when i tried to call my number. its already switched off. what a gracious society... =)

On this special day, I took my precious leave to watch the SYF Competition for String Ensemble at the TRCC, Republic Poly. I longed to watch SYF as it will bring back all the memories i experienced in the past as a secondary and a college student.

Took part in SYF 3 times, twice in NCHS string orchestra and once in MJC Chinese orchestra. The times when eveyone in the cca comes together to practice almost everyday with a common aim: to achieve the best result (GOLD w Honours).

When I was watching, bits of these memories flowed back into my mind. Remembering how I used to practice the pieces till I could literally play them without looking at the scores, it is really amazing. It shows how much time and effort we've put in to this SYF as a whole.

From the previous SYFs, this year's competition saw an increase in the number of string ensembles taking part. It shows that Spore's school is starting to invest in stringed instrument and it's a good development. Wind orchestra on the other hand, is already very common. Schools like River Valley High, North Vista and NUS High had took part this year. Though their results are not very pleasing to them, but I think it is a big step to develop string music in schools. Applause to these schools!

However as a whole, the SYF is very disappointing this year. From the past years, I feel that the standard of those prestigious schools has been excellent and they provide a great SYF performance. But this year was different. The repertoires were not chosen with much consideration from my opinion. This is a competition, not a school's concert. The repertoirs were either classical or those that are too dull and lack of room for expressing the orchestra's unique culture.

There are exceptions such as MGS and RJC. They put up a very good performance! I enjoyed their pieces. Nice way of impressing the audience with their unique style of playing. =)

As for NCHS SO and VJC SO, all the best for next syf!!

Was quite happy for myself as my cello teacher said that I could finally announce to ppl that he is my cello teacher! haha... Felt great as I know that my effort is not wasted...

Another thing that i should be happy: I got tickets for the Final Fantasy Concert by Singapore Festival Orchestra!!! haha... bought the Category 2 tickets.. lol.. NSF 20% discount man.. haha... got 8 of my friends to go with me.. could have asked more.. but it was tooo rush at that point of time when you noe that the tickets would be sold out within minutes... sry man...

Third thing to be happy about: This coming Sat 21st March is the day where my guitar class will commence! yea!! I am very excited.. haha... learning a new instrument! haha!! hopefully i can pick up fast! so i can start with different genres of music already!! woO!

Forth thing to be happy about: 302 more days to ORD =)

On friday, went to IT fair with Yh, Mak, LK Lim, Jack and Benji.. haha.. Though I only spent 1 hr there due to my cello lesson, but it's still great to get soaked into the atmosphere of kiasu-ness of the typical sporeans chionging to buy "cheap" electronics... haha.. though there are some good offers, esp for sony bravia lcd tv, but i think this IT fair shouldn't be causing so much of an excitment as the goods are not considered cheap? haha!

My aim: To improve as much as i can in my cello before uni starts.

I really want to play like those ppl from yong siew toh.. haha.. it's too unrealistic dream for me now. but i want to be like them. that's what i'm aiming for right now. they're really good players man...

Sometimes, i feel really pissed off when i cant play certain pieces well(clean and rich tone)... There's so much to improve on.. eg. sight reading(esp when i couldn't play pieces with so many accidentals at first sight.), techniques(need proper technique in order to play higher level pieces.. the most basic thing such as positioning ur cello is already so impt for producing a rich tone. physics applies too when playing cello. requires the knowledge of "borrowing power"(weight transfer). more and more...

SO much to learn... haiz..

I'm quite happy with today as i got my licence on first try! =) After learning to drive for slightly less than 4 months, i passed my driving.. haha!

At last i could save money already. had been spending quite a lot recently and had to keep up with my driving lessons. Spent around $1300 altogether. haha.. quite cheap already.. lol.

Finally can focus on my cello and probably could join in another course.. haha.. prob guitar.=X

Hope to have a car soon! ha..

On 31st Jan 09 - a very tiring day... but feel so enlightened.

Had driving lesson in the morning... tired from the one whole week of work and cny. zzz and i got to carry my cello... had a rehearsal with ahde's friend's band at noon. Travelled all the way to tampines fow awhile. and then back to bugis for steamboat..

the steamboat (chongqing) like quite chui also.. not so very nice food lah... but then okay lor.. cheap? so i don't bother.. but met some weird singaporeans who don't know the meaning of queue up in a lower class eatery?

staring at u = pls siam lah. What a gracious city, singapore... hmmm.. this kind of situations can also be seen on public transport.. seriously... be polite singaporeans.. not that i am not patriotic in my comments. but learn from the countries like australia and european countries?

any way, the main thing of this post is that im quite touched that xh and the rest.. we are still going out together... and still in contact after 1 year outside school.. thanks to everyone's effort. =)

On this lousy day, had to wake up so early just to go to Bishan Park play game... Like zzz. Then walk around the park like some KUKU... okay, still appreciate their efforts put in by the organisers to plan this event... sorry to say, I'm anti this kind of events because it's ns... if it's any university's event, probably I wouldn't mind... haha =X

okay lah, after all, we still talk some cock among ourselves and played some ridiculously hilarious "games"... haha. can u imagine using the mini mandrin oranges as "chap teh"? lol... Sunny's idea lor... haha! kick kick then juice start to squirt out.. then Jonkee kicked it to yh and the orange split open.. lol.. that was epic... haha.. many more kena the orange juice after that lah... damn funny..

Besides that sadistic orange game, we still keep ji siao ajay.. haha! freaking racist lah.. haha! keep shooting... they said that he actually said "gan diao yin du ren" when he kanpei.. haa! funny sia...

Then left 7 of us to play the L4D... actually tried for once at home b4 going to lan and play.. so somehow i'm really playing like shit.. haha.. but it's damn addictive... so much better than CS.. haha! For this game, think that being infected more fun... haha.. got all the weird skills... But i freaking hate to kena BOOMER.. Like how its name describe itself, Boomer just go near the survivors and be ready to be exploded.. lol wth...still prefer hunter or smoker. If not, get the Tanker.. woot... machiam like Roshan.. haha!

the whole game process was like freaking funny lah.... esp Jonkee lah... haha! he was like lagging behind all the time lol... and claiming that he's trying to clear all the zombies behind. haha! when me and the rest were like @ lvl 2 le, he still at lvl 1 and worst thing is kena that hunter's attack! then have to go all the way down to rescue him... seriously LOL... then OR(old recruit) was like niao-ing him... haha! pace quite fast man... gotta train at home then play again... yea...

After that, went to PS to shop awhile.. then met JQ, Marilyn and Gillian.. haha... suddenly a pat on my shoulder then i was like who is it sia.. lol.. end up watching concert with them and godwin at NAFA... was really boring... din like the repertoires they were playing.. so slept for like 1 hr in the hall... lol... Mendelsson's violin concerto.. really quite dry in my own opinion.... sleepy tunes.. zzz. Then i fucking hell keep meeting that mdc guy wherever i go concerts nowadays... so Suay lor... why must see him sia... he think he like pro.. Niao me during my audition... totally no respect... fucked up...

after that, we went to eat roti prata/mutton soup at a coffee shop next to NAFA... the mutton soup quite nice.. haha. But then ah... see Gil eat roti prata i also want to laugh already... freaking funny can... the sugar and prata is damn messy.. dono how to describe her le.. lol.. and her laptop with a few missing buttons.. haha!

Long day sia... was out the whole 16 hours u noe.. damn tiring... overall, this day was fun. =)

Today is damn tiring okay... early in the morning wake up to report to camp for some stupid duty on SATURDAY!!! ah... and cos in the noon i have some rehearsal with ahde's band, so gotta bring cello... zzz lol.. can imagine? bring from sengkang to redhill and then to simei, then to potong pasir.. it's freaking tiring man...

overall the band practice is fun lah.. got nice song to listen and play.. haha... the lead singer is quite zai leh.. haha... taking part in some competition on the 15 feb... lol kinda nervous and excited? ...

And one thing i hate bout singapore taxis!!! Freaking hell.. drive taxi and dono the main landmarks!!! I think it's important to know all the popular landmarks before u go drive on the road lor... AT LEAST KNOW WHERE ARE THE MRT STATIONS!!! it's a basic request right?? if it's some ulu road, i dont mind if they dont noe.... POTONG PASIR MRT VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND MEH?????????? wa lao.... from simei to potong pasir is like quite fast de lor,.. end up take 30 mins... this is not the first time i experience le lor.. freaking hell... the best is like the DRIVER DONT KNOW HOW TO GO TO KOVAN MRT FROM SENGKANG???? Feeling quite worn out and busy for the begining of this year... I don't know what caused me to be so tired just when i started to report to camp again. Probably I'm experiencing work-sickness. haha.

Looking forward to the many occasions that will be happening the first quarter of year 09... It'll be Chinese New Year, Lee Teck's band finals competition, driving test, BHSO 1st March Concert, Nan Chiau High Anniversary Concert(if we're allowed to perform), Godwin and Marilyn's birthday.... Just in the short span of three months, I've already got so many things to tackle... Though it's really fun and exciting, but my energy is draining soon... haha

Have to thank lee teck (ah de) for introducing his friends to me... It's a very refreshing experience for me. haha.. playing a cello in a band.. woo! looking forward to it.. haha.

Hopefully I can get my driving licence by Feb? I don wana drag any further... hopefully lah okay... haha..

woo....and two concerts to prepare... this is REALLY CRAZY.... Liasing with the nchs anniversary organiser... hopefully she could give me a positve reply.. haha. that would be great! yea! performing again in NCHS after so "many" years.. haha

And, JQ wanted to learn something... haha.. so decided on guitar. Will be looking for a music school on 24th jan when he book out.. lol.. any suggestions? haha.. my pocket is gona burnt.. but nvm, learning a new skill is worthwhile... but though i am still feeling regretful of not completing my Japanese course due to lack of time, sleep and money... haiz....

Well, its a new year already. Completed my first week of the year. And like what Voo always say, it's a Friday! Friday is a happy day! Lol... Thanks Voo man... for your funny phrases which are somewhat motivating.. haha!

It's been a long journey, though i've only passed my first year as an NSF... It seems that one NSF year is longer than a Student's workyear.. haha... been thru a lot... lol.. Finally... over...

One whole week passed, with me doing the monotonous job of tagging letters again... no doubt that boredom had killed me many times... zzz. What i can say is that i hate my current job.... I rather do something i like with this two years man... Like performing.... joining different orchestras, playing tennis, watching movies etc.. haiz....

For the first quarter of 2009, it'll be very tiring for me i suppose... haha.. got BHSO concert which is on the 1st MARCH, SGH community service through performing, and supposedly SMU Art Festival... looking forward to these.

Last but not least, I wana go shopping to buy clothes!!! yea!! and a puma shoes. And also SUPERHEROES clothes!!! hope somebody can accompany me!! =) muack!

This year's one was quite special as my birthday is a historic date as of Year 2008.

This is the day on which the Americans held their presidential election after many months of political events. Finally, Barack Obama won. I feel so proud to have my birthday on the day when the most important occasion takes place. It's probably a good sign that my life will change for the better?

Alright, lets not talk about the political sides in this blog. Honestly speaking, this year's birthday is really a special one for me already. First of all, thanks to my friends/acquaintances who contributed to make this a special one.

As I took part in the RPSE concert which is on the 6th Nov, I had no choice but to go for the rehearsal and run-through of the programmes on my birthday. Too bad for me? Haha... To my surprise, Gillian instructed them to sing a birthday song for me when she switched off the lights... Lol... I was quite used to darkness so it didn't really scare me. But I was caught by surprise that they sing a song for me... Quite touched. Though I don't really know the people from RPSE. Thanks everyone.

After the rehearsal, Marilyn, Eunice, Da Jie, RP teacher and I went to a hawker centre opposite to have supper. The food was delicious... lol. At least better than many le.. Nice dinner =) And Marilyn gave me her handmade artwork! =X.. haha! I will post the picture soon =) Now no time... sorry... Inside the notebook, she wrote some touching lines... lol .. Thanks for sleeping so late just to get it done... lol. Thanks everything.

On Saturday, Xh and the rest came over to my house to celebrate my birthday. Thanks to Jie Chong for ordering the Durian Cake from Jalan Kayu! =) lol ... Was quite surprised that you went to order it. Lol. But really thanks for your effort though. It's damn nice... Will also post the pictures of it soon...

Thanks everyone for doing the Hotel Burj Al Arab model for me. Appreciate it a lot... It's really beautiful... Thanks for your all of your efforts! I really liked the model... lol... *still thinking of where to display it** lol.

Later we went to Bishan to watch 007 Quantum of Solace. Honestly speaking, the movie sucks. lol... Boring plot, boring actions, boring actors. Lol... Headed off to Novena to have dinner buffet at Vienna International Buffet Restaurant.

BUT! We could not get seats as I did not reserve the place. I did not know that it requires booking too... haiz... so sorry guys.. we had to have dinner at Sakura instead... But nevertheless the buffet at Sakura could compliment our tastebuds. *luckily man... lol** Had a great time there eating. Trying some weird fruit ice that I feel so tortured eating it... lol..

Whatever it is, I really want to thank everyone for making my birthday a wonderful one. =) Thanks to Xue Heng for organising it and making it a success! =) And thanks to the 6 of you guys that make it perfect!

Why I like this car?

Hmmm. Mainly because it is cheaper than most cars which have the sporty look. This is a car which have many room for modifications, be it in the engines or exterior. The exterior could be modified to this extent shown above. The wheels, brake, spoiler, bumper interior seats etc. Yea!~. That's why I'm a fan of Honda Jazz! I really hope to get it soon probably in my uni days. Haha. By then probably a newer model will be out.. But I don't mind, as long as I can have it! Haha!

Of cause this car is not my dream car lah. To be realistic, this car is right for me, considering my economical status.. lol. Of cause I have a more abitious dream, which is to drive my favourite Mercedes SLK , BMW Z3, Lamborghini, Audi R8 or the Audi Convertible etc. Haha.. Those cars hmm... Have to wait till I earn enough bah.. haha

Lan ICT Training

24.10.2008 was one of the Lan outing organised by my colleagues from NSSC. It was a real success on that day as many of us turned up to play. A close approximation of 20 people were present! It's a real big group man.

20 of us playing Counter Strike. It was really freaking crazy as we were split into 10 each, CT and TERRORIST. It's really exciting as there are so many people in the map and we had great time shooting and killing each other in the virtual world. Each of us tried our best to show off our skills in gaming. Some of the top "stars" are Eric, Jason Loke and Isaac... They are really crazy. Aiming were freaking accurate. Haha. Too bad I'm not a guy who can play CS really well so my scores isn't that good... Too embarrassing. But luckily I wasn't ranked the last. =D

After like almost 2.5 hrs of CS, some of us switched to playing DOTA. A game which I had yearned to play with my colleagues. I was quite confident unlike in the past as I had played the game quite often those few days before this outing. haha! Chose LION. Miraculously, I got a killing spree with my own effort. But it was ended in a short while as the opposite team started to gang me. Oh my... But nevertheless, I got another Killing spree title for myself. haha! Considering my playing skills, it's actually a small achievement to be proud for that night. HAHA! My kill ratio was 9:3. Not bad...

Really enjoyed myself that night thought the outing was indoors. Hopefully one day they would organise something outdoors. =D

While walking down the escalator at Dhoby Ghaut MRT STATION NEL, we (5 of us) saw the arcade and decided to play for awhile. Played the basketball game. Was quite crappy as I'm not a basketball player. Haha. Still me and Isaac managed to play up to Stage3. Haha! nice try... It was tiring due to the laughter as both of us were too syncronised that we threw the basket ball at the same time. Both of the balls hit each other and none got through the basket. Joke isn't it...

Later we went to play the drum game. The one which sound like chinese drum. That game can be found in psp game collection. That is not an easy game man! lol Psp is only abt pressing the buttons but for the arcade version, its madlike. Haha, embarassingly my rhytms were out of pace.haha

It has been a long time since i blogged. Many things had happened all this while when I was "missing". Many changes had happened to my lifestyle, my thoughs and behaviour. I would say, this is a growing up process.

Many times I had complained to my good friends about my life in the office. I felt that it's a tough life to lead. There are many political incidents, be it internally or within branches. It makes me felt so screwed up as those incidences did affect me in various ways. Sometimes, I did question my ability as I felt so lost. Why am I feeling this way? I've totally lost confidence in myself. Many crude remarks had be thrown at me randomly, regarding the way I did my stuffs and the way I handle people. Am I really that lousy? I've been asking myself for a very long time. It really hurts to hear these kind of remarks being hurled at you everytime.

Day by day, I tried to find answers to my question. I've asked many people. Why are they treating me in this manner? Why are they always blaming me for the things which I think it's not really important and serious. Am I easily pushed around? Many always say that in the outside world, the Theme "Survival of The Fittest" always comes into play. I've seen it. Right in front of my eyes. The society is cruel and cold blooded.

Told my dad about these incidents unwillingly. He gave me some advices and also reprimanded me for being so naive, and stubborn. In this society, the wrongs will not always be wrong. And vice versa. As long as you are the Strongest, Right or Wrong does not matter anymore. Thus crafty minds always succeeds. Certificates do not weigh as much anymore, unlike in school where results counts.

Other then that, EQ is also another quality that is very important. A person with high EQ will be able to handle stress, and in turn he would be able to rise above the rest. This is reality. We have to accept it. That's why we will often see the "elites" winning these battles.

As for me, I'm more of an emotional person. It's because I understand how it feels to be looked down by others, or being bypassed. Nasty comments by those "winners" could be very hurting. Thus when I handle things, people will describe me as being too nice and will be "eaten" by others. This really set me thinking for very long. Is this how many people think? To win, we can forget about what others feel? Neglect their feelings even if they are your friends?

I guess I really have to accept the fact that in this evil world, there's no such thing as helpful soul around. Nothing. There will only be faceless souls around waiting to put on a different mask for different occasions. It somehow eventually equates friendly and helpful to evil motives. Such a shallow move.

To enter the working world, one has to blend in to fit into the society or he will be left out forever. People always say that in order to succeed, you have to be flexible and fast, and probably adding a little of craftiness. No choice. It's nothing wrong if no one is hurt and friends and/or family members are not being hurt. That's the only way to keep our conscience clear of guilt (if the person actually has conscience).

I admit. It's tough to grow up. Having to face these obstacles all at one go right after finishing my A levels is not an easy task. But these are the life skills that could not be found in books. What I know now is to endure, endure and endure.......

A New Start For Me

It's bitter to climb up after a fall...

Why? After slogging for almost 6 years, what have I achieved? Is it because I'm slow or am I not capable? Rich people have the monetary attributes to groom themselves but not the poor. So it seems that the poor are less capable than these rich faggots.

So much for hard work. Why did I put in so much effort for? It's my dream. It's not for you "ELITES" to shatter it. If you think you're great, then go overseas to compete with the greater people. Why waste your time in Singapore to boost your ego? Isn't it a waste of time since you assume that you are better than many people in Singapore?

Why can't my journey be more smooth-sailing? Being a teacher, YOU shouldn't be so biased. You ought to teach whole-heartedly and meticulously. And not let little mistakes continue. You have to be responsible and not cheat on the little seconds and minutes that seems worthless to you; they make a difference for students who PAID for the lessons. Please wake up teachers. The fight for money could happen every where. Be it in the workplace, home, or even on the street. Anywhere. But is money really that important that you have to harm another person to get them? Is money worth more than your friends or family members? Do the victims of these "crimes" deserve to be "robbed"?

Since you have a perfect and healthy body, why not live your life to the fullest and do something meaningful? What's the purpose of being involved in the battle for shares of the family's fortune?

After some thinking and advises from my friend, I think I should see things from a different perspective. hmmm... For the time being, I'll just put those unhappiness behind me. I don't want to think about it for now. I want to make my life meaningful and youthful.

Goals in Life?

A PERFECT World of cause. Haha. But it's not possible isn't it? hmmm. Well, I guess I'll have to create it myself. =D

Currently my life is just revolving around Music & Performances, Entertainment & More Activities, Fashion (Window Shopping... No choice ah.. no money =(.. LOL), Get a Driving Licence asap, take up some useful course, and of cause Tennis!

Trying my best to gain experience on-stage... Took part in BHSO and performed with them. Though performance is not 100% perfect, but I felt a sense of achievement! That's due to the fact that I managed to complete Dvorak's Symphony No. 9!! It's a really tough piece... Though in some parts, I smoke my way thru... but i managed to play 80 % of the song... YEah.. Cool isn't it? Currently, I will be under SSO cellist Guo Hao soon and I really hope to leap a far distance this time round...=)

Don't know why, this time I really feel like trying outdoor activities like beach volleyball.. And the all-time favourite: cycling and probably i wana learn roller blade... haha! quite weird for me... yea. thats what i want though... Lol..

Have been looking at those branded stuffs recently. Prob not branded but maybe a more stylish formal wear? hmmm. haha... somehow i just fall in love with them.. maybe i might wear them for meetings? hmmm. haha

Driving.... haiz... when can i get my licence and a car of my own... haha.. so shuang right? can drive anywhere u want. i want a car with really sporty looks... it'll be good if i got a porche lah.. but too bad.. i'm not some rich dude... haha...

Bleak Future? Or a Bright one?

Days have passed since I last post on my blog. Just within these few days, I experienced a lot of stuffs. Everywhere. Every minute. Every second.

Currently, my life is mostly spent in the office. Every weekday, it is the place i have to report to. A seemingly friendly place initially could turn out to be a demonic place. Devil's aura loomed every corner of the little 2 storey building. Why should I be working there in the 1st place? No choice... It's a compulsory national service.

The exterior gives a somewhat uneasy peaceful appearance. Inside, it's obviously a warfare. An office one. With INVISIBLE elven Arrows being fired around every now and then. Perm staffs are obviously the army men, defending and attacking at the same time. As a small fry, I tried to hide myself like the way a hermit crab would do. But, how am I suppose to hide away totally from the arrows when i'm in a battlefield?
Tough isn't it?

I would agree that this is a good training for me before i enter the working world. The warfare would be more brutal and cold-blooded. But why does human has to do this? What does one gain from all these? Power? Promotion? Money? Can friendship(be it casual or close) be compromise for these? Is that worth? Why can't people live and work in HARMONY like the notes from symphony works. Perfect Harmony.

Everyday. I am training myself to be stronger. To face up to these problems with confidence and learning to be tactful when handling these issues. It's tiring. Really tiring. Why can't the life in office be like playing cello in an orchestra? Isn't it beautiful and perfect that way?

After performing at the VCH for BHSO, I'm currently preparing a song The Swan by Saint Saens for an audition. Hopefully, I would be able to pass this audition and i can get to rehearse and perform eveynow and then. Won't be wasting my time trying to survive in a warfare for the time being. No point. I would rather do something that i like and better at. At least i got to enjoy and gain experiences from what i do. And not jobs that shrink one's brain.

What a lousy weekend for me...

After being involved in the TDA, i was already pinned down by tiredness. To add on to this misery, i was picked to do duty on 3rd Aug (SAT) for 24hrs. Which means i can only go home on Sunday. Oh my god... This weekend is the worst i ever had.

I had to report to camp early in the morning at 7am. And duty starts. What i got to do is to be at the counter to change pass if anyone comes. So boring isn't it? Stuck in the small aircon house, i can do nothing but to talk and rot... waste of my saturday which could be spent on more meaningful stuffs outside... haix. forget it. Its so boring on saturday.

I only get to go home on Sunday 7am. took me 2hrs to reach home as the public transport does not increase the frequency of their services on Sundays. Poor me. I was feeling so tired at that time. when i reached home at 9am, i took a quick bath, had my breakfast and got to go out again cos i am having a cello lesson with a cellist from SSO!! Its such an honour. Too bad i din got enough sleep... Lesson still have to go on.

He told me that he has to start from basics as i had picked up all bad habbits from different cellist outside. Perfect basic technique is the key to be able to play all songs. That's his idea of teaching cello. So, for that 45mins cello lesson, he taught me special fingering techniques and the art of the bow. I just realised that an upbow and downbow has different way of playing.. that's really amazing.!! After the lesson, I got to pay $364.. oh my... 45-min Session cost $78. But really hope he can do miracles. He said that within one year when i've mastered his basic technique, i can move to a higher level! Hopefully i learn fast enough.. haha

At night i went to watch a concert by Hwa Chong Voices (Choir). Jonathan Kee invited me to go.. haha... Initially, i wasn't interested in choir at all. Dread to go. But when i was there at the Esplanade Recital Hall watching the concert, I was truely impressed by their performance!! NEver did I expect choir to be so interesting. It's like a String Ensemble, with Soprano(Violin I & II), Alto(Viola), Tenor(Cello), and Bass(Double Bass). Each of the section harmonises very well. Their tones are in tune and their voices are strong. Inevitably, the HCJC's Choir got Gold With Honours for their SYF... I was really touched by their performance and it somehow changed my impression of choir concerts... The soloists too sang extremely well as they really have soothing and clear and transparent voices. The most important thing is that I didn't imagine Jonathan could sing so well! haha!!! Cheers to you Kee.. haha..

Was involved in the TDA. We reached Pan Pacific Hotel Early in the morning @ 0730 and start preparations like setting up the ops room and rehearsal. And Blah Blah Blah... repeat repeat... Dinner Starts @ 7pm... Me had to guard the kitchen. yah... As you all know... yah... all the way, till 11.30pm then we start to return home. Poor Pow Poh Wun... in the Fatique Team.. Gotta pack stuffs till 1am... haiz... Undescribable feeling of Tiredness.

Busy Saturday... 忙しい土曜日。

This Saturday was the busiest day of my week... Many things packed in a day and it's not easy to pass. But nevertheless I managed to enjoy myself throughout.

Early in the morning, i went to wash my face as you know, it's getting more oily. Pimples and blackheads start to grow... no choice lah... Being metrosexual is not a bad thing to be embarrassed about...haha. It's just that appearance is very important nowadays in the working world, isn't it? hmmm..no choice. I spent $98 on washing my face alone... Oh my... I'm only surviving on $400 a month... AH!!!

After that, I went to meet my cousin Godwin to have a short meet up as we need to catch up after so long... He told me about his army life and as usual, it's the life that many don't like. Although i did not go thru that kind of life, but i think i can vaguely understand the pain... I can't help but to feel helpless. Just to wish him goodluck and support him throughout his BMT phase.

In the Evening, I went to meet NSSC colleagues to watch Isaac's Play.... IT's really GREAT!! oh my god... isaac long's performance was really beyond what i had expected man... every part of the drama was so real. When i first stepped into the hall of the Singapore Arts Museum, i had a very eerie feeling as the the setting of the drama plot was created very well thanks to the professional performers... the hall was lighted with incandescant lightbulbs, thus giving us a real-life feeling as though we are in a chapel of the ancient Greece. hmmm... when the drama started, the plot seems confusing initially. as the show progressed, i started to be able to grasp the storyline. The actors and actresses were emotional and gave their all. Nothing was held back making this show excellent. the story becomes exciting as it progresses, we audience too felt tense and anticipating what will happen next...
On a lighter note, the main actress had a muscus on her face as she cried.HAHA!! that was the classic joke of the day man...

After that, we went to a hawker centre next to Le Meridien Hotel to have our dinner. Ordered afew dishes and we shared. At that time, everyone was tensed as we wanted to catch the last train. Espescially Sunny as he's the only one who stays in tampines.HAHA! Delicious food. But a little too steep though. Enjoyed it briefly and we left to chiong for the mrt. haha...

When i reached home, i still had another meetin online with the5lines comm members. oh my that was at 12.40am already.... tiring man....argh....too bad.. for the sake of the5lines, i have to sacrifice my sleep for to help our music grp improve tremendously. haha.

Finally, NITES... End of my busy SATURDAY...

HAhas... tennis professionals! they rock the world.. so cool to play tennis. just really feel like playing as its really thriling... oh my...

today i have two good news to share...

1) I passed my BTT!! woo. isn't it great? i can move on to the next stage of my driving course.. haha... signed up for FTT already... currently finding a private driving instructor to teach me practical... hmmm... hope to get licence by this year, or next year jan... haha..

2) I went to had a sneak preview on marilyn's cello lesson... oh my god... the cello teacher is GREAT!! really GREAT.. he can play so perfect and clean... every note is expressed very well and in tune... without noisy fillers...and his cello looks like some ancient artefact.. lol... its like super old... but the sound was really good.. oh my... wonder how much the cello cost him...lol... have to wait for september before i can be his student... haha...

Meanwhile, i'm going to practice hard... and i'll try for the mdc audition... hopefully i'm capable of going in... hai.z..

Today was considered an exciting day. Not because I had to report to camp, but it's because of the LIFE activity! I played Tennis today! haha! Another reason for joy is that I had the chance to use my new PRINCE O3 SPEEDPORT PRO WHITE finally after buying from the owner.

The tennis game although casual, but it was really intensive! havent had an intensive game for a long time... missed those days where i have tennis training every sunday morning. haha... we rallied in the freaking hot sun and each of us tried to play our best by hitting great shots hoping to score a winner. haha... After todays game, i'm really looking forward to play again the next wed when minghao is back from china! haha... that would be great.... The most important reason to be happy this wed is because i have an off day tomorrow as i wil be having my BTT... hopefully i pass... hehe

However despite wednesday being an exciting day, there will also be reason to be annoyed... I'm sick of what i'm doing now as i feel that doing all those work is really wasting my time. I feel tempted to go to MDC... the audition is next month last week... i want to go there because i want to improve my cello and thats the best place for me.... also i want to increase my exposure to songs and performances. this will help me in the future as well as the5lines. however i donot want to leave the friends who i've met and know since january... have known each other for 6 mths and i really cant bare to leave this friendship tooo... this is a really difficult decision to make.... haizz.. can anyone advise????

Today is monday... and i'm like feeling drowsy the whole day... haiz.. in the office while tagging letters, i fell asleep a few times... efficiency was so low... Guess i was too tired from those activities during weekends...

Had went out on saturday to celebrate jinquan's birthday... and watched a midnight show, HEll Boy 2.. reached xh house ard 3.30am... had slept for only 5 hrs before daybreak... on sunday, i had cello lesson... oh my...

this is very tiring... tml night i have japanese class... hopefully i can pay full attention... had not been paying enough attention as my energy level is very low these few days... the viscious cycle continues.. as i feel tired everyday....

continue bout my cello lesson and JQ birthday again...

damn tired... got to continue composing my song.. BYE!

Welcome!!! Finally my blog is back to life!...
Time flies... its already JULY... and unknowingly, I have just completed 1/4 of my
National Service... Going to be a PTE soon!! haha
I know that is a damn low rank... but for a clerk like me, getting promoted means
my ROD date is nearer... haha...
Life is considered quite smooth-sailing compared to the other guys... Hearing ppl going thru all the tough trainings, i feel that i should treasure what i am going thru in the office as a learning experience...
It's true that there are many cases of office politics and i often complaint about them... It can be very annoying at times to experience them... but at least i get to go home everyday after work... and not stay in-camp like the others.
Although i did not go thru those tough trainings, i hope that these office politics can also make me a better and stronger person emotionally and in terms of my interpersonal relationship to help me in the near future... =)
TO all NS friends, Persevere on and overcome these Trainings in ur NS life... a process to make u into a better person...

Finally I got the time to post here again after almost a month. I was typing this post while I was in camp. =) Aiya... Many people often say that the job of clerks in army lead easy life and slack. Actually it is only true to some extent as we do have times when the workload piles up and you will have trouble completing them... haha.

Besides working, we(Recruits and Lao Jiao) also organise outings. ha ha =) Last Thursday, Jonathan organised a LAN outing at Peninsular Plaza. Since he don't know how to play DOTA, the only game we can play is CS. wahaha... And as expected, I got owned easily. But luckily I wasn't the last. ha ha. Heng heng ah.. Some of us watched Rule #1 as well. It was quite a good horror movie as the scriptwriter managed to blend humour, horror and romance into one 'HORROR' movie. ha ha. It is not that scary as I thought. haha.

Other than Exciting NS life, I'm also looking forward to performing with VJC Symphonic Orchestra!! It's like having part of your dream to happen as I always wanted to play in an orchestra with at least a GOLD standard for SYFs. The feeling is undescribable. ha ha. Thanks Anne for inviting me there!!! They are playing songs like THE RAIDERS MARCH from Indiana Jones, DVORAK's Symphony No. 9 (also shown in Nodame Cantabile Special Episodes), Broadway Music like CHICAGO (All That Jazz) and many more!!! Those songs are really challenging as well in terms of rhythms and techniques. VJC's concert is on the 31st May 08! Interested parties can contact me. =)

Went to watch Vantage Point with JC they all... Its really a good movie in terms of how they combine the different viewpoints of 7 ppl. Although its a short 1.5 hrs movie, but it started and ended well. I loved the high tech equipments the terrorists used man.. a click on the PDA phone and the President may be shot down from an unsuspiciously looking window. The bodyguard was actually distracted by the suspicious-looking window which caused him to be confused... lol.. betrayal is also portrayed in the movie... Being betrayed be own members is a very scary experience... How i wished the world is full of nice and sincere ppl.. but too bad... its just a naive thinking.. lol..

It's a new year now... first day of sch..but i;m home watching Water Boys 2 Drama Serials... PlS don siang wai.. thks... i'm amazed by their strong friendship, helpfulness, passion, loyalty and innocence.

Firstly, they are a bunch of good friends(5 of them) who supportted one another through thick and thin. This is a thing which everyone would want. ppl will not be selfish for their own gains. all get together towards their common goal.. enjoy doing what they do - Synchro Swimming.. they met with a lot of obstacles but they tried nevertheless to find a solution-TOGETHER. thats what i hope everyone would learn...
Just feel that i'm in the same boat somehow... as in i'm fighting to complete my cello studies... at least till grade 8.. but one thing come after another... especially studies which really hinder the process.. next is the teacher who refuse to take me as a student due to various reasons... but now, i;ve found a teacher. but another obstacle. National Service.. no one will ever understand how I feel...

Other than that, my second hope is to have a group of musicians who will come together and form a performing group. like those in the DraMA, i really hope to find enthusiastic ppl who have the passion for music. the undying spirit just like me. i really hope to meet u all.. and form a grp to perform. it may not be a career... but what i wish is that we could do something we liked together as a hobby. playing music. before we step into the working world... hopefully my dream will come true...

Hi eveyone! this is year 2008! a new year awaiting us! FIrstly wish everyone SUCCESS in everything u all do from now on!! YEA! just to share the last few moments of my 2007 with u! =)

I really had fun that day! thanks alot! but it comes with a cost too la... ($50 spent in one day) ha ha...

And somemore thing... Thanks to two ppl whom had been supporting me throughout my JC life be it in terms of studies or other stuffs, and trying to correct my lousy character... It has been tough on u all. But i'm really trying to change. give me some time though. without you all, i would still be the skeptical person towards friendship... at least all of u made my dream come true... a million thanks!

Lol... Today's quite a happy day for me... JinQuan gave me a surprise visit while i was working... haha.. Shilin and Ethelyn also came and ka jiao me awhile... ha ha
thanks a lot man... my collegue even ask for ethelyn;s no... ha ha. thats very funny... when i told him she has a bf, he sian diao... ha ha everything goes well today although meeting ridiculous customers is inevitable.. ha ha.. used to it can le... tml is my last day of work.. cant bear to leave the place too... i learnt a lot of things there... approach customers and serve them with the right attitude and i learnt to SMILE everytime... it's not a simple thing though especially when the rich ppl are very fussy and have high expectations on the service they receive. i could get along with my collegues much better already... thats really a heartwarming feeling... =) thanks for the job RSH...

today is xh bday and its JUZZ QUARTet first official performance!!!! Ate at Carl's Junior... ha ha. i just spent $10 like that on a set meal... eat till damn full... then later gave ben chew and xh their bday presents. Xh got a swimming trunck and a framed shirt with designs by us! lol ben chew got a piggy card and a COW mug... though a level over le but still can mug de la.. ha ha.. then we walk from dhoby Ghaut to Clarke Quay in the hot sun and i carry my cello with me... can imagine how tiring it is... but NS is worst i think... =x after loitering at clarke quay, i left to meet up with my performing group to prac b4 performing...

hehe AT night... a christmas party cum performance!! our first performance... although not perfect, but it was really fun!! we played Fragments of Memories, The Girl From Ipanema, The Cuckoo, Entertainer, and some of the christmas carols!!! yea!! It's really fun!! Everyone sang along while we are playing!! ha ha... really love that performance.. feel relaxed and enjoyable... casual performance is also fun! thats the thing i learnt that day... i'm really happy to be given this chance to perform so many times outside sch... however, i think i'll stop for a moment and continue learning cello before performing again... =)

GOOD NEWS for those who want to watch GOLDEN COMPASS cos its really nice!!! it's like a magical fantasy... dono how to describe la... but the story is quite interesting... many mysteries the girl have to uncover... the movie hasn't end though... waiting for GOLDEN COMPASS 2... ha ha... yea!! after the prom nite, zi bin jinquan and I took a taxi home... the total cost is like $38.25 la... damn expensive man... must thank zibin for treating us $20 for the taxi fare... slept at 3.30am in the morning...
the whole day was dull... spent my time watching prince of tennis anime almost the whole day till 6 pm... but only watch till episode 27... haha.. slow la...
